The first of many Friday Favorites features Minneapolis’ latest coffee hot spot - Parallel. A feature in Cambria Style describing the shop's modern day work space inspired me to check it out (and of course I loved it too much not to share about it!).
Located near Target Field on Holden Street, Parallel’s light and airy space is the perfect environment for Saturday morning coffee with friends, post up with your laptop or grab a tasty bite to eat at any time. On a week day, you might find people spread out across tables with their keyboards clicking away. On weekends, the place is bustling and echoing with groups catching up over coffee and breakfast.
The swoon-worthy design combines natural wood, navy blue tile and black and white marbled quartz countertops for a fresh and modern look. Concrete flooring and the high, exposed ceiling keep the original warehouse feel throughout the space, making the room feel open and spacious. Hand-blown glass pendants drape from the ceiling over the bar and tables at various heights add personality and warmth to the industrial look.
In addition, the Holden Room, is a separate 5,000 square foot venue (just next door) available for rent. Like the coffee shop, the space still contains the original industrial elements of the glass warehouse and mirror manufacturing plant from the building's former life - the perfect aesthetic for a wedding or other formal event.
